'The Water's Edge Retreat' is a beautifully, calm Hair & Beauty Salon where you can enjoy some time to spend looking after you. Our rooms all back onto the river providing the tranquillity and peace that you deserve.

Just being here will help to relieve stress and promote healing. We have a wide range of treatments for you to choose from to help you feel yourself again.

Emma Dunkley

Manager / Owner / / Trainer / Beauty Therapist

I have worked within the Beauty industry for over 20 years and choose to specialise in classic beauty therapy treatments. I developed the Retreat with the sole purpose of providing a high class therapy space where we could collectively work alongside each other to be promoted as the best therapy and well being center around. Two years on I now employ a team to meet the ever increasing needs of the business. We have grown so much whilst keeping our focus on the highest class treatments and products and offer so many exciting new treatments.

Reception Manager / Beauty Therapist

After working in Administration and Finance for over 15 years I found myself here at The Water’s Edge Retreat in the most luxurious and calm environment I have ever worked in! I loved the people and place so much I knew straight away I had changed my life path for the better.

After 3 years of being here as Reception Manager and Salon Coordinator I started my journey as a Beauty Therapist training in Eyelash Extensions and Lash Lift and Tint. Now I am an absolute Lash addict!! I love carrying out both of these treatments and using my artistic side to achieve the look you want whether it be a natural fluffy look or something a bit fuller and more dramatic.

I am now preparing to extend my training in other areas of beauty this year and can’t wait to be able to offer more treatments and meet new clients. I am a people person and have always enjoyed meeting new people at Reception but I am loving having more time to really get to know my clients in the treatment room.

I can honestly say I have never been so happy in my work. I love meeting all our different clients and being in this wonderful space working with this wonderful team is truly the best!
